Mg Mivela comes from a source that is 86 meters deep and located on the edge of a forest, surrounded by untouched nature on the outskirts of the village of Veluće, near Trstenik, Serbia. It is bottled at the source since 1985, and all the unique properties of the water are preserved in their original form, along with full functionality.
The first hydrogeological explorations in this area date back to the early 20th century, when underground sources of natural mineral water were discovered. Prof. Marko Leko, PhD, the first president and founder of the Serbian Chemical Society, which was established in 1897, conducted the first chemical analysis of the mineral water from the Veluće spring back in 1901. The results showed that one litre of this water contained 352 mg of magnesium, which at the time was considered to be medicinal.
